Ramadan Begins Tomorrow in Pakistan as Moon Sighted
The anticipation for the holy month of Ramadan has reached its peak as the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirmed the sighting of the Ramadan moon. In an announcement made by the committee’s chairman, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, it was revealed that Ramadan 1445/2024 will commence tomorrow, on 12 March 2024.
Speaking at a press conference held in Peshawar on Monday evening, Maulana Azad shared the news with the nation, stating that the committee had received credible moon sighting testimonies from various locations across the country.
With the arrival of Ramadan, Muslims in Pakistan will embark on a month-long journey of spiritual reflection, prayer, and fasting. As the first day of fasting approaches, communities are preparing to observe the rituals and traditions associated with this sacred time of the year.
Additionally, it has been announced that Taraweeh prayers will commence in the Two Holy Mosques after Isha prayers, marking the beginning of nightly congregational prayers during Ramadan.
