Decorated schools welcome students after winter break

SRINAGAR PTK : After 95 days of winter vacation, schools of Kashmir valley Monday started class work as students returned to their respective educational institutions.

The teachers at a simple but impressive function welcomed the students. The students were joyous over the resumption of classes.

Pertinently, the government in December-2023 had ordered closure of schools in a phased manner in Kashmir division from November-28-2023 to February-29-2024.

For primary level classes’ upto 8th standard, the vacations were announced from November-28 to February-29-2024 and from 9th standard onwards upto 12th standard, the vacations were announced from December-11 to February-29-2024 respectively.

Notably, DSEK had ordered that the teaching staff to report back to their respective schools on February-21-2024, so that they remain available for making arrangements regarding preparation of ensuing examinations.

On February-29, the government said that the schools in Kashmir division shall commence class work from March-04 instead of March-01 in view of inclement weather. PTK
