Pakistani Drone Carrying Heroin Intercepted by BSF and Punjab Police in Amritsar

In a joint operation on January 26, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police successfully seized a Pakistani drone in Amritsar’s Mode village. The drone, identified as a DJI Mavic 3 Pro model made in China, was found carrying 519 grams of heroin. This marks a significant achievement in thwarting the illicit activities of smugglers, as the vigilant troops acted on intelligence input to conduct the operation.

The recovered narcotics were meticulously concealed with yellow adhesive tape, accompanied by a distinctive metal ring attached to the packet. The farming field adjacent to Mode village in Amritsar District served as the location for this interception. The BSF emphasized their commitment to curbing illegal activities and ensuring the security of the region.

In a related incident, the BSF made another discovery on January 26, when troops engaged in area domination patrolling near Roranwala Khurd village found a suspicious item at around 09:00 hrs. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a small drone of Chinese origin. The successful recovery of this quadcopter reinforces the ongoing efforts to safeguard the border and prevent unauthorized activities.

These incidents underscore the importance of continuous vigilance and collaborative efforts between security forces to counter the ever-evolving tactics employed by smugglers and perpetrators. The BSF remains steadfast in its dedication to maintaining the integrity and security of the border regions.
