Encounter breaks out between security forces and militant in Surankote

SRINAGAR (PTK) : An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Surankote area of Poonch district.

Official told news Press Trust of Kashmir that,that based on specific intelligence input, a joint Cordon and Search Operation was launched in Sindarah and Maidana near Surankote Poonch by troops of Indian Army and SOG of Police. “Contact established. Intense firefight ongoing, area cordoned, operations in progress,” army confirmed in a tweet.

According to sources, the exchange of fire was going on in the area and the security forces has been cordoned off, operation is going on.(PTK)
