Authorities disallow Eid prayers at Historic Eidgah Srinagar: Anjuman Auqaf

SRINAGAR (PTK) : Anjuman Auqaf said that the authorities have disallowed the Eid prayers at the Historic Eidgah Srinagar.

As Statement issued to the news Agency Press Trust of Kashmir that, the Anjuman Auqaf jama masjid Srinagar has already announced that Eid prayers will be held at Eidgah at 9 am, however authorities on wednesday disallowed the prayers.

Anjuman Auqaf also denounced of Mirwaz e kashmir who traditionally delivers the Eid sermon at Eidgah before Eid prayers.

However they, despite appeals by various religious, political, social organisations and the civil society regarding the release of its Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, he is being continuously detained, which is extremely sad and disturbing.(PTK)
