Girl jumps in Jhelum in Sopore

Press Trust Of Kashmir Sopore Dec 12:- A teenage girl jumped in the river Jhelum in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday afternoon.

An official said that a student of 9th standard, jumped in the river near Jamia bridge in sopore following which locals and police rushed to the spot to launch rescue operation.

Efforts are on to retrieve the body, they said, adding investigation has been taken up to find what prompted her to take this extreme step.
