DC Samba addresses Public grievances at remote village Taloor
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SAMBA, NOVEMBER 16: In continuation to the steps taken to achieve efficient and effective public services delivery and public grievances redressal, District Administration Samba today conducted weekly block Diwas meeting at remote Panchayat Taloor of Sumb Block.
Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta listened and addressed the public grievances put across by locals through PRI members in presence of district heads of line departments Sarpanch and other elected members.
During the Block Diwas programme delegations from adjoining Panchayats and individuals appraised the Deputy commissioner regarding different issues. They demanded piped water connections, adequate power supply, maintenance and construction of rural roads, coverage of left out families under social security schemes and projected several other local issues.

The Deputy Commissioner, taking cognizance of the demands, directed line departments to share details on scheduled powers cuts, achievements under govt sponsored schemes, besides ensuring that all grievances are documented and action taken report was submitted to her office. The Deputy Commissioner Samba assured the locals that each issue will be taken up and resolved within a stipulated time frame.
The directions were issued to all executing agencies to immediately start work on the tendered works, failing which strict action shall be taken.
She gave detailed information about initiatives of Govt about online services of various departments and arrangement of CSC operators at tehsil offices to help the public in applying online. She also asked people to avail benefits of Ayushman scheme, Aadhar enrolment, very beneficial insurance schemes like Jeevan Surksha yojna etc.
The DSWO Samba and CMO Samba appraised the public about various services being offered by their respective departments including online pension forms, marriage assistance, UDID Cards, elders club, feedback boxes under NMBA besides other host of schemes.

Later, Deputy Commissioner Samba also distributed Land passbooks among beneficiaries at panchayat Ghar Taloor.
