PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR SRINAGAR NOV 06:- National Service Scheme (NSS), Cultural Committee and Dean Students Welfare organised an impressive function on 5th November 2022 in the Conference Hall of the College as a part of activities under “My College My Pride 2022”

The Function was started by Convenor Cultural Committee Prof Rafia Nisar. She thew light on the theme of the programme. She invited worthy principal Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Wani for inagural speech in which the principal laid stress on the promotion of culture of a country as a binding force for unity in diversity.

Students should strive for the making a country pride in general and their college in particular.

On the occasion other faculty members, NSS programme officers Dr. Salfie Muzaffar and Dr Rashma Siraj were also present.The vote of thanks were presented by Dr. Bisma Malik.

In another function Department of Computer Applications and Department of library in collaboration with Debates & Seminar Committee and NSS organized a one day workshop on use of Online Learning resources under My College My Pride 2022 .

The program was inaugurated by Mr Ashaq Hussain HOD Computer Application where he gave brief overview of Academic Bank of Credits ABC and Digi-locker in light of NEP -2020 and urged students to open accounts on these platforms .He talked about the recently launched Moodle learning management system for the students registered under NEP.

The students were trained during the session to login their accounts on moodle accounts and use the resoures made available by the faculty in it.

Convener Debates and Seminar Committee Dr. Rashma Siraj formally welcomed the resource person for the workshop Mr Aijaz Ahmad Bhat to deliver on the theme.

Mr Aijaz Ahmad Bhat highlighted the need to put in use the authentic resources of information available on internet .

He introduced participants to open and paid access resources and informed them to avail the benefits of NLIST-with which college is already registered. He Emphasized on various points which include –Swayam, e-PG Pathshala, The National Digital library of India.

The resource person shared the website which he has created as one stop for college students to access syllabi, previous papers, recommended books, internet archives,customized search on Wikipedia and Britannica .

Students took keen intrest by accessing the features available on the website created by the resource person. The vote of thanks were presented by Dr Salfie Muzaffar, Co-convenor Cultural committee(PTK).
