DC Ramban reviews functioning of Elderline Helpage
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAMBAN, OCTOBER 18: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam today chaired a meeting convened here today to review the functioning of Elderline implemented by HelpAge India in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Programme officer, Jehangir Hashmi, ACR, Giasul Haq, ACD, Ashok Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kamal Zadoo , DSWO, Rahul Gupta, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Subash Chander, DYSSO, Dharamvir Singh, other senior officers and representatives of JK Elderline.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized for making the helpline popular so that the oldage persons can be assisted through this helpline. He also called for making the helpline popular during the ongoing Jan Abhiyan Campaign.
Earlier, Field Response officer, J&K Elderline, Mr. Shafiq Hussain gave a power point presentation on the functioning of helpline and the areas in which the helpline shall be vital for helping the Oldage persons.
