Rashtriya Poshan Maah- 2022: Awareness programme held at Kishtwar
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 01: In continuation to activities under Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022, an awareness camp was today held at Anganwadi Centre Wazir Mohalla on the directions of Mission Director POSHAN, J& K and under the close supervision of District Programme Officer, Poshan, Kishtwar.
CDPO Kishtwar, Iffat Ara along with Health & Nutrition Mobilizer, Mohsin Doolwal & Councillor Ward No 2, Sanjeet Kumar Kotwal were the special guests at the camp.
The ICDS beneficiaries including pregnant ladies, lactating mothers and children attended the camp.

Women and adult girls were imparted awareness about the importance of consumption of nutritious and balanced diet, maintenance of hygiene besides the hazardous health effects due to deficient intake of different micro and macro nutrients during pregnancy and lactation.
Importance of Poshan Vatika and yoga asanas were also discussed with the stakeholders.
To find out the Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) and Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) children, weight and height of children was plotted and mothers were acknowledged on the spot about growth of their kids. All the participants were served with refreshment and finally the camp concluded with a vote of thanks.
