Ramban: DC, President MC lay foundation stone of office-cum-parking Complex

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAMBAN, AUGUST, 30:  Deputy Commissioner, Musaarat Islam and President Municipal Council, Ramban, Sunita Sumbria today laid the foundation stone for the construction of office-cum-parking Complex of the Municipal Council.

Among others, Councilors of Municipal Council, Gopal Raina, Khalid Wani, Amit Gupta, Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Abhishek Gupta, prominent citizens and officials of the department were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner informed that the Municipal Complex is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 5 crore by the Public Works Department, Ramban and is expected to be completed by December 2023.

The completion of this project will go a long way in providing ample space to the municipal office, besides providing adequate parking space for the official vehicles and machinery of Municipal Council Ramban, he added.

The DC informed that within a year Municipal Council Ramban has come up with very good proposals resulting in construction work on Town Hall Building already started for which District Administration has provided the required land in Ramban town.

 The work on the Bus Stand Project Ramban which is coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 23 crore will start soon, he further added.

Meanwhile, the President MC highlighted different initiatives taken by the Municipal Council for the development and cleanliness of Ramban town.

The president along with councilors extended gratitude to the District Administration for helping in executing mega developmental projects in the district, especially in Ramban town.

Later, the DC along with other dignitaries inspected the pace of progress on the construction of Children Park. He also issued on-the-spot directions to concerned officers for resolving the issues highlighted by the Councilors.
