Police books 04 notorious drug peddlers under PSA in Sopore
Press Trust Of Kashmir August 25: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Sopore have booked 04 notorious drug peddlers under Public Safety Act (PSA) after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
Earlier, Police in Sopore have arrested four notorious drug peddlers identified as Aadil Sultan Malla son of Muhammad Sultan Malla resident of Sheikh Sahib Chinkipora Sopore, Aadil Ashraf Khan son of Muhammad Ashraf Khan resident of Pethseer Sopore, Suhail Ahmad Ganie son of Abdul Khaliq Ganie resident of Model Town Sopore and Bilal Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Ahmad Ganie resident of Hathishah Sopore. It is pertinent to mention here that all the accused persons were promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of PD Sopore.

Subsequently, the cases were duly processed and after obtaining sanctions from the competent authority, the arrested drug peddlers were detained under Public Safety Act and have been lodged in Kot-Balwal Jail Jammu.
General public has appreciated the role of Police for their action against drug peddlers. Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making continuous efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
