Health Directorate Jammu flags off IEC Van
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR JAMMU, AUGUST 20: To mark “World Mosquito Day” observed in the memory of Indian born Nobel Laureate and British Doctor Sir Ronald Ross, who unveiled the mystery of Malaria parasite, Deputy Director Health Services (Schemes) Jammu, Dr. Sanjay Turki today flagged off an awareness Van (IEC Van) here from the Directorate of Health Services Complex in the presence of State Programme Officer J&K and other senior officers and officials of the Department.
The IEC Van has been organized by the Office of State Malariologist, UT of J&K, Jammu as a part of Advocacy Campaign on prevention and control of Vector Borne Diseases including Malaria & Dengue amongst the community.

The Dy. Director Health Services (Schemes), Jammu urged everyone to stay committed in the fight against the Vector Borne diseases and stressed the need for community involvement and participation as vital factors in VBD control.
Later, a pledge on keeping the surroundings clean and for making the environment mosquito free was also taken by the staff members of State Malariologist. District Health Officer Jammu, was also present on the occasion.
