Independence Week celebration activities conclude at GCW Udhampur

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR UDHAMPUR AUGUST 17: The week-long celebration activities of Independence concluded today at GCW Udhampur.

 The First J&K Girls Battalion NCC, Srinagar, GCW Udhampur, under the guidance of the Principal of the college Dr. Monika Sharma, organized series of events in connection with Har Ghar Jhanda programme during the celebration of Independence Week as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, from 11th to 17th August, 2022.

The week-long schedule of activities included Poem Recitation competition, Tiranga Rally, door to door distribution of National flags, T-shirt painting competition, cultural programme, Quiz, Pledge taking ceremony based on the theme ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’.

The main aim of conducting these activities was to explore and exhibit the creative abilities of the cadets and also to invoke the feelings of patriotism and sense of pride among cadets.

Principal of the college appreciated the cadets for participating and celebrating the Har Ghar Jhanda campaign during Independence Week with great enthusiasm. She motivated the cadets to follow the patriotic spirit and also hailed the persistent efforts of the NCC Battalion of the college.

All the events of the week were coordinated by the ANO Prof Shallu Jasrotia. The prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners on the last day of the Independence celebration week.
