DDC Rajouri launches work on two JJM schemes at Dhangri
Over 3000 souls to be benefited con completion of twin projects
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAJOURI, JULY 28: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today launched work on two JJM projects here at Dhangri.
Among the others present at the launching ceremony included BDC Dhangri, Tazeem Akhter; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh; Tehsildar Rajouri, Javed Chowdhury; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed and others.
The twin water supply schemes are being constructed at Dhangri Lower and Dhangri upper.
While briefing about the schemes, the SE Hydraulics informed that the schemes have been approved at an estimated cost of Rs 11.45 crores and nearly three thousand souls of the area would be benefited on their completion.
Speaking after the launching ceremony, the DDC said that the Govt is committed to provide safe drinking water to the general public and best possible measures are being taken in this regard.

“Access to drinking water facility is the basic right of every citizen and keeping this in view, the Govt has launched the ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission which aims to provide functional tap water connection to all the households,” the DDC said.
Asking the officers to ensure completion of twin projects in set timelines, he directed them to work with added zeal and mobilize their men and machinery to complete the projects well before the set deadlines.
Locals of the area appreciated and extended gratitude to the District Administration for starting work on the schemes.
