Two Army officers killed, four injured in grenade blast in Mendhar

POONCH JULY 18 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR:-Two army officers including a JCO were killed, while four others were injured in an accidental grenade blast that occurred in Mendhar sector of Poonch district.

Officials said that on Sunday evening the blast took place when troops were performing their duties along the Line of Control in Mendhar sector.

They said that in the incident resulting six army personnel including an official and a JCO rank army personnel were injured, who were immediately airlifted to Udhampur.

Army officer and JCO succumbed to injuries while condition of other four is said to be stable, they added.
