DC Pulwama distributes Commercial Vehicles among beneficiaries under ‘MUMKIN’
PULWAMA, JULY 15 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: In order to provide sustainable livelihood to youth by providing employment opportunities, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary today distributed Vehicles among 14 unemployed beneficiaries under MUMKIN scheme at District Administrative Complex, here.
During the event, the DC handed over keys to beneficiaries who had applied as Unemployed Youth.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that MUMKIN scheme is a part of Mission Youth, an initiative launched by U.T Administration which aims to channelize the energy of Unemployed Youth in the right direction and provide them avenues of self-employment so that they are able to earn livelihood.
He also interacted with the beneficiaries and urged them to work with full dedication and enthusiasm which shall eventually go a long way in socio-economic upliftment of beneficiaries under MUMKIN Scheme.
So far 114 beneficiaries have benefited under the Mumkin Scheme in the district.
Assistant Director, Employment and other concerned Officers were present at the event.

KULGAM, JULY 15 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers at conference Hall of the DC Office Complex here to review the progress and status of works under District Capex budget 2022-23.
During the meeting the DDC took sector wise review and progress of works in Education, RDD, PDD, Irrigation, Heath, Agriculture, Horticulture, PHE and other sectors.
Dr Bilal took a detailed review of allotment of works, works started on ground, works completed, tendering and other related issues.
During the meeting it was informed that the number of total works under District Capex 2022-23 is 2535 which includes 2108 new works and 427 ongoing works.
The DDC was apprised that Administrative approval was accorded to 1892 works and 1493 works were tendered out whereas 908 numbers of works have been allotted.
The DDC directed the officers to achieve the completion targets of the works and ensure expenditure of funds released. He also asked them to personally monitor the quality and progress of all allotted works.
Dr Bilal stressed upon officers to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of ongoing works for their time-bound completion.
Concerned were instructed to Submit pending estimates of works at an earliest.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry officer, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, District Nodal Officer Ayush, Block Development Officers, Executive Engineers from R&B, Jal Shakti, PDD and Irrigation besides other officers also attended the meeting.
