Amarnaath Yatra begins after two years, 2750 pilgrims leave for cave shrine

Press Trust of Kashmir |  Pahalgam:- Amid very tight security arrangements, the first batch of pilgrims left for holy cave from Nunwan Pahalgam base camp.

 

Officials said d that first batch of 2,750 pilgrims left for cave shrine and the first batch was flagged by DC Anantnag Dr Piyush Singla.

 

The 43 day Yatra this year will conclude on August 11 on the Occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

 

Amarnaath Yatra is being organised this year after two years as it remained suspended due to Covid.

Yatris who left for holy cave from Pahalgam were seen very happy besides complimenting the security arrangements.

 

 

Meanwhile LG Manoj Sinha on the occasion prayed for peace, happiness and prosperity of all.

 

“As we begin the 43-days long celebration of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, performed Puja of Baba Barfani earlier today. Prayed for peace, happiness and prosperity of all.” LG said.:-PTK.
