Braveheart shakeel sacrificed his life to save life of tourist
By giving priority to guests over his life, he kept kashmiriyat alive, says his friends

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar:- A tourist guide from Kashmir kept Kashmiriyat alive as he preferred the safety of guests over his life and while saving guests he lost his life.
Shakeel, a 25-year-old youth from Gangangeer Ganderbal, a professional hiking guide lost his life while trying to save life of a tourist from Uttrakhand in Pahalgam area.
His family members that Shakeel was a professional guide since last several years and was trying to make his every journey memorable one for himself as well as people accompanying him.
He saved lives of tourists dozens of times at different places and in the incident in which he lost his life, he also tried to save tourist Dr Mahesh from Uttrakhand but both drowned.

People accompanying him, told us as after all tourists crossed the nallah, at last Dr Mahesh and Shakeel were crossing it and as soon as Dr Mahesh slipped, Shakeel jumped and tried to save Mahesh, he said.
He was a braveheart and saved lives of tourists several times at several places, he said.
His friends also echoed same voice and said that shakeel was very compassionate and a daring human being who was very crazy about rafting and trekking.
They said he has kept the example of kashmiriyat alive by preferring the safety of guests over his life.
Had he not jumped into the nallah to save Dr Mahesh, he would been alive but he without caring about himself jumped into it to save Mahesh, Said Rafiq Ahmad his friend.
He lost his life but kept kashmiriyat alive and left an example to give priority to guests over his life, he said.:-PTK.
