Says three militants killed in Pulwama were involved in killing of policeman, labours

Srinagar June 12 (PTK) At least ninety- nine militants were killed in different encounters so far in Jammu and Kashmir, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar said on Sunday.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar while talking to reporters said that three local militants affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were killed in a gunfight today at Drabgam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

He said that 99 militants have been killed this year so far in dozens of encounters.

Cordon and search operation in Drabgam area was launched in the area on specific input about the presence of militants and in exchange of fire three militants were killed, he said.

He added that militants killed in Pulwama were involved in killing of policeman Reyaz Ahmad from Gudoora and non-local labour in Budgam. (PTK)
