34 Assam rifles organises awareness program on wORLD WATER DAY

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : World Water Day is an annual United Nations (UN) observance day held on 22 March that highlights the importance of fresh water. The day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

Wussan Battalion in continuation with its efforts towards sustainable development of the society without disturbing the ecological balance organised a *River Cleanliness cum Awareness Drive* in the Chattergul village of the Kangan subdivision.

An official told the news agency Press Trust of Kashmir, that as part of the cleanliness cum awareness drive various events like Brahmsari Nar cleanliness drive, painting competition for kids, lecture on Importance of water and protection of river system were conducted.

He said that DDC Kangan Cmir Mudasir majeed, Forest officer, and all sarpanch and panch of area participated in the event.
All were appreciative of the intent and efforts of the Indian Army in organizing the awareness drive.
