Youth who set himself ablaze during demolition drive in Ganderbal, succumbs

Press Trust of Kashmir | Ganderbal : A youth who set himself ablaze during a demolition drive in Ganderbal has succumbed to his injuries in SKIMS.
An official told the news agency Press Trust of Kashmir -PTK that on Saturday a youth namely Amir Ahmad Shah son of Ab Hamid resident of Harn Ganderbal who burn himself during demolition at Harn Gbl succumbed.
It is pertinent to mention here that on 22 February during the demolition of a complex at Gundrahman a youth identified as Amir Ahmad Shah, son of Abul Hameed Shah of Harran sustained burn injuries after he set himself ablaze.
The injured youth was referred to SKIMS Soura for treatment where he succumb to his injuries, he said.
Officials har said that the person burnt himself when a demolition drive was being conducted and the officials tried to demolish his newly constructed complex.
During the demolition, the owner of Complex Abul Hamid Shah, son of Ghulam Ahmad of Harran, tried to stop the demolition along with family members and relatives by pelting stones towards the party, officials had said.
The officials said that the son of owner Aamir Ahmad Shah tried to burn himself with kerosene or petrol and got injured following which he was shifted to Srinagar hospital for treatment.:-PTK.
