HoI MS Bonpora Chattergul organise function at School premises

Ganderbal, 11 Feb (PTK) : The Head of institution organised a simple function at Middle School Bonpora Chattergul in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on friday.

During the programme, the DDC Kangan C member Mudasir Majeed was the chief guest ,while speaking on the occasion, the DDC member announced a grant of Rs 3 lakhs from his constituency development fund for development of playground in the newly occupied premises of MS Bonpora Chattergul.

The function was presided over by the Zonal Education Officer Kangan Mr Qamar ud Din Lone and hosted by the HoI MS Bonpora Chattergul .

The Zonal Education Officer Kangan said in his speech that the proposal duly recommended by the Chairman BDC Kangan for construction of 5 roomed school building for MS Bonpora has already been submitted to the higher authorities for approval.

Moreover, the proposal for development of MS Bonpora Chattergul as Model School will also be submitted within a few days.

The others present on the occasion were Dy Sarpanch Chattergul A Mohammad Sultan, former ZRP Kangan Jamsheed Aarif Shah, Panches of concerned halqas, staff members/students of MS Bonpora Chattergul and a good number of members of civil society and Wajid Gh Hassan was the moderator.

Pertinently to mention , MS Bonpora is one of the highest enrolled schools of zone Kangan. The teachers and students of the schools have brought laurels to the Department and won many competitions and appreciations at the zonal , district and UT level.

However , lack of proper accommodation and playground have impeding the academic set up of the school over the years.Now, the Department of Education in collaboration with local PRI representatives has identified and earmarked about 6 kanals of land as premises for the school.(PTK).
