Active Militant held in Chadoora Budgam : Police

Budgam, 20 Jan (PTK) : Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a militant affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit in Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Official sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that an operation was jointly launched by 53 Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Chadoora area in budgam , during which a recently joined militant of Lashkar-i-Toiba outfit was arrested alongwith arms and ammunition .

He adds that the militant is from Memandar village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district and had gone missing three weeks ago.

An official said that Pistol, 2 magazines and 16 rounds were recovered from the said militant and a case has been registered in this regard and further investigation has been taken up. (PTK).
