Police Personnel , JeM militant killed in ongoing Kulgam Gunfight : Police

Three army soldiers, two civilians wounded during gunfight, says IGP

Kulgam, 13 Jan (PTK): A police personnel and a Jaish-e- Muhammad (JeM) was killed while three army soldiers, two civilians were also wounded during an ongoing gunfight in Pariwan village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

As per the News-agency Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK), Kashmir zone police, while quoting Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar on its official twitter handle said that police personnel and a Jaish-e-Mohammad militant were killed while three army soldiers and two civilians were also sustain injuries during the ongoing Kulgam gunfight.

Earlier a joint team of Police, army and CRPF on Wednesday evening launched a cordon and search operation in the area on specific information about the presence of militants.

As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering of an encounter.(PTK).
