Gbl Police solves two burglary cases, recovered stolen property worth lakhs of rupees

Ganderbal, 08 Jan (PTK):Police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on saturday claimed to have solved two burglary cases and arrested five accused persons who were found involved in the crime.

As per the statement issued to Press trust of Kashmir (PTK) a police spokesman said that two burglary cases has been solved and five accused persons involved in the crime have been arrested.

The police official said that 16 Exide Batteries were recovered worth Rs 139999.68, gadgets like Generator 10KVA (01 No.), oxygen Cylinder (02 No.s) Iron sheets (15 No.s) Welding Machine (01 No.), Power iron cutter (01 No.) and Iron Angles (08 No.s) worth Rs 235000 were also recovered on their disclosure.

He said “On 12th of December 2021, Police Station Ganderbal received a complaint from Head Master GGHS Wakura regarding burglary during the intervening night of 11th and 12th December at GGHS Wakura. Accordingly, a case FIR No.224/2021 U/S 457,380 IPC was registered in PS Ganderbal and investigation was initiated.”

Further, on 23rd of December 2021, Police Station Ganderbal received another complaint from one person namely Manzoor Ahmad Ahanger S/o Gh Mohd Ahanger R/o Chanapora Bandipora regarding burglary during the intervening night of 22nd and 23rd of December at Govt. Middle School Chundina and accordingly, a case FIR No.228/2021 U/S 379 IPC was registered in PS Ganderbal and investigation was initiated.

Accordingly SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar-IPS constituted a special team led by DO PP Shadipora, ASI Ashiq Hussain under the supervision of DySP HQRs Ganderbal Abdul Majid- JKPS. In a quick action the team cracked both the cases and arrested five persons involved in the burglaries.

The accused burglars were identified as Javid Ahmad Mir S/O Gh Ahmad Mir R/o Nabirpora Bandipora, Mohd Shafi Lone S/O Gh Mohammad Lone R/o Hathlangoo Sopore, Mehraj ud din Matta S/o Abdul Jabbar Matta R/o Shair colony Sopore, Zubair Ahmad Sofi S/o Abdul Hamid Sofi R/o Shair colony Sopore, Ali Mohd Dar S/o Mohammad Afzal Dar R/o Muslim Abad Bandipora.

Moreover, tools and vehicles used in burglaries were also recovered and seized from the possession of accused persons, they added.

Meanwhile general public of the appreciated and hailed the efforts of Ganderbal Police for the quick and timely response. (PTK).
