Narcotics bid foiled at Chanderkote 20 GM’s of Heroine recovered

Press Trust of Kashmir | Chanderkote : In furtherance to tightening noose on narcotics smugglers under ’Operation Sanjeevani’, Ramban police folied a narcotics smuggling bid at Chanderkote. On 24 Dec, 2021, during routine checking at Naka Chanderkote, police party at Naka Chanderkote intercepted one tempo bearing registeration number JK02AS/5210 for checking, which was plying from Srinagar to Jammu in which one person namely Vijay Singh S/O Payar Singh R/O Kud District Udhampur was traveling . During the search of the above mentioned person, 20gms heroine like substance were recovered from his possession . The accused person was arrested on the spot and is currently in police custody . In this connection, FIR No 157/2021 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered in PS Chanderkote and investigation set into motion.

The overall recovery and arrest was made by police team under supervision of Insp Afzal Wani, SHO Chanderkote and DySP Hqrs Ramban under overall supervision of Ms Mohita Sharma IPS, SP Ramban.
