Gunfight underway in Handwara: Police

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said a gunfight is underway between militants and the government forces in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

“Encounter at Batpora in Handwara. SFs (Security forces) (are) on job,” police said on Twitter.

Meanwhile, reports said that two to three militants have been surrounded by the forces.
