29 RR Army organises ‘A day with company commander’ at Ussan Pattan
Pattan 05 Oct(PTK) : The 29 Rastriya Rifles army unit at ussan pattan organizes ‘A Day with Company Commander” for locals to ensure the strong relationship between army and awaam here on friday at ussan pattan of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
According to a statement, In pursuance of Indian army’s resolve to strike a chord with the local population and to connect with the awam, the Wussan khui Company Commander spent an eventful day with children of the Wussankhui and adjoining areas.
The aim of the event was to create the feeling of oneness and a new bonhomie among the Awam and Jawan in the area by spending some quality time together. The event was attended by almost 110 children from neighbouring villages during which the army provide counseling to the childrens for their betterment of future.
The event started with the recital of the national anthem followed by an interactive session wherein the company commander motivated the children to work hard and excel in all walks of life.
During the event various competitions and entertainment activities were conducted, The games and competitions witnessed a large participation and the children enjoyed to their fullest and later refreshment were given to participants and children’s.
“We enjoyed it a lot. The Army did wonderful arrangements for us and we played a lot of fun activities ,we hope that they’ll organise more such programmes for us,” said a children .
However the people said that such events if organised more often, will inspire the children and get the much-needed exposure they cannot afford otherwise, Programmes like this should be organised more often,” he added.
The occasion witnessed wholehearted participation by the children.They showcased the love and appreciation for the Army as the echoing laughter, the sparkling excitement in their eyes.(PTK).
