CHINAR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT-2021 organised by 24 RR Bahir at Gudoora area of ganderbal district

Press Trust of Kashmir | Ganderbal : In an endeavor to provide opportunities to talented Girls from our AOR to showcase their sporting prowess, 24 RR of Manasbal Sector organised Chinar girls Volleyball Tournament-2021 at Physical Education college, Gadura from 12 Sep to 14 Sep.

The tournament was played on league-cum-knock-out basis wherein 08 Teams from the Ganderbal District participated with great zeal & enthusiasm. The finals were played on 14 Sep between Spartan Girls of Lar and Sets on Fire of Ganderbal wherein the Sets on fire won by 2-1.

The match was witnessed by a large audience to include the Chief Guest, 2ic 24 RR, professor Ganderbal Degree college and Physical education college & Police officials. The winning team Sets on fire was awarded a cash prize, Certificate, Jersey, Gifts and volleyball while the runners-up were awarded with cash prize,Gifts,Certificate and Jersey to all players. Ms Muneesha of the Sets on fire Volleyball Club was adjudged the best player and awarded with Gift.

The chief guest addressed the gathering after the event wherein he praised the skill as well as sportsmanship of the participating teams. He motivated the girls to believe in themselves and focus on these constructive activities. He urged them to imbibe the qualities of sportsmanship which resonate so well with the essence of Kashmiriyat.

Events like these shed a reassuring light on the harmonious relations between the army and the local populace, breathing new life into the aptly coined term, “Awaam aur Jawaan, Aman hai Mukaam”.(PTK)
