KULGAM POLICE RESCUED KIDNAPPED MINOR GIRL AND ARRESTED ACCUSED WITHIN ONE HOUR
PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR |Kulgam |August 24 | Police Station Kulgam recieved a written complaint for assistance from a complainant stating that his minor daughter (name withheld) was kidnapped by one person namely Muntazir Ahmad Shakhsaz S/O Mohammad Yaqoob Shakhsaz a resident of Chawalgam.

Taking cognizance of the incident a Case with FIR No. 197/2021 U/S 363, 366-A IPC, 4 POCSO Act was registered at Police Station Kulgam and investigation was initiated in the instant manner. Accordingly a team led by SHO Kulgam Insp Jazib Mohammad under the supervision of DySP HQR Kulgam shri Ghulam Muhamad Bhat-JKPS was constituted to rescue the kidnapped girl and to nab the kidnapper, by using all available means investigating team rescued the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused within one hour after complaint was received in Police Station Kulgam.
After fulfilling all medicolegal formalities the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation of the case is going on.(PTK).
