PDP Migrant Cell called a press conference at Party Office Today

Demanded redressal of their genuine concerns

Jammu, July 12(PTK) ::  Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) migrant wing called a press conference at party office here  today. Highlighting their demands the General Secretary Migrant Cell  Rakesh Kumar Pardesi and Organising Secretary Sunil Kumar Bhat demanded immediate redressal of their genuine concerns and sought government intervention to mitigate the KP’s plight.

The main highlights of these demands presented in the press conference  are as under:

First I would like to thank you all for accepting our invitation for this occasion and your presence to highlight our genuine issues through print and electronic media.

Secondly I would also like to convey our assure and support to our party president Ms Mehbooba Mufti and assure her for every possible support to any decision which ever she takes in the intrest of the people of the state and party as well.

Again with support of you people belonging to media fraternity our genuine issues needs earliest consideration with appropriate redressal to mitigate the sufferings confronting to Kashmiri Pandits in exodus at present in Jammu and other parts of the India.

1.      We seek intervention of present dispensation under Hon’ble Governor to expedite the process  of employment for unemployed youth of  K P’s under PM employment Package and engagement of KP youth in different departments under Class-IV Category under PM employment Package.

2.      The Pandith migrants are suffering a lot due to lack of portable water supply at Jagti Town Ship needs immediate and appropriate  arrangement to mitigate this grave issue.

3.      The major complaint of KP’s  pertaining to corrupt practices  flourishing in some Relief and Rehabilitation Zonal Offices needs to be monitored and corrected so that  genuine and deserving people may not face any inconvenience.

4.      The most areas and residential quarters of Jagti town ship, Bota Nagar, Purkhoo and Nagrota camps are in dilapidated condition, that also needs immediate renovation and repairment on war footing.

5.      The post of DC Relief and Rehabilitation has been kept vacant since last three months also needs immediate arrangement and posting inorder to resolve the issues of KP’s and other migrants .

6.      The issue regarding Medical Insurance for Migrants is lying with the finance department since last one year needs special attention and resolution.

7.      The employees engaged under PM’s employment Package in the valley are suffering badly due to lack of sufficient accommodation also needs immediate redressal.

8.      The Hospital situated at Jagti having sufficient staff should be made functional on 24×7 basis with provision of appropriate medicines to cater dense population of Jagti town ship.
