After arrest of militant commander, encounter breaks out in Parimpora

Press trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir police Monday said that they have achieved a major success by arresting a top Lashkar-e-Toiba commander at Srinagar’s Parimpora locality when he was travelling in a vehicle
In a tweet, Kashmir zone police wrote: “Top LeT commander Nadeem Abrar #arrested. He was involved in several #killings. Big success for us: IGP Kashmir.”
His arrest big success to the government forces, he said.
An official said that Abrar was travelling an Alto vehicle bearing number JK 05E 5646 along with another militant and the operation was carried out by the joint teams of Srinagar police and Cargo at National Highway Crossing Parimpora
Meanwhile hours after his arrest an encounter broke out between forces and militants in Malhoora area of Parimpora on Monday afternoon, police said.
Police in a tweet gunfight broke out in Parimpora area while police and security forces are on the job.
“#Encounter started at Malhoora #Parimpora area of #Srinagar. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Police Zone tweeted.(PTK)
