Covid-19 Lockdown violations: 964 violators fined, 190 persons arrested & 92 FIRs registered
Police seeks public cooperation to mitigate spread of virus.

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR | SRINAGAR :Continuing its efforts to curb the outbreak of 2nd wave of Coronavirus, J&K Police have enhanced its efforts to sensitise the masses about controlling the highly contagious Coronavirus. Police have also enhanced the efforts to implement the Covid-19 guidelines/SOPs/restrictions strictly throughout the valley and slew of measures including restrictions u/s 144 have been put into place to contain the spread of Covid-19.

During the last 24hrs, Police have arrested 190 persons, lodged 92 FIRs and also realized fine to the tune of ₹1,22,920/- from 964 people for violating the guidelines/rules throughout the Kashmir valley.

The special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines/rules continued throughout all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/ guidelines envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic.

Community members are once again requested to cooperate with the Police in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/ guidelines/ protocols for the safety of the people. The special drive shall continue throughout the districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures.(PTK).

JAMMU, MAY 28: Two day vaccination drive concluded today here at Government PG College for Women, Gandhi Nagar. The drive was organized by Department of Higher Education, UT of J&K in collaboration with district administration Jammu for inoculating teaching and non- teaching faculty of all the constituent colleges of Cluster University of Jammu, GCW Parade, GCET, GDC Paloura, GDC Sidhra and GDC Bhagwati Nagar, falling 18-44 age group.

A total 750 faculty members were vaccinated in the drive. During the drive Deputy Commissioner, Anshul Garg  and Rakesh Badhyal, Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education also visited and inspected the arrangements at the vaccination booth.

The drive was carried smoothly in the Auditorium of the college under the supervision of Dr. Ravender Tickoo, Nodal Principal, Dr. Sangita Nagari, Principal GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu and Prof. Ranjeet Singh Jamwal, Principal, SPMR College of Commerce and Prof. Sunil Uppal, Principal, MAM PG College respectively.

The Vaccination Committee members of GCW Gandhi Nagar Jammu headed by Prof. Mala Bhasin as Nodal Officer, Prof. Abhinav, Dr. Harmeet Singh Sudan and Prof. Suman Bala as members managed the vaccination process in the college premises

Nodal Officers of constituent colleges Prof. Shammi Kumar, (GCET), Dr. Gurpreet Kour (GCW Parade), Dr. Shubhra Jamwal (GCOE Jammu), Prof. Rajiv Kumar (GGM Science College) also actively contributed in the vaccination drive.

 Harminder Singh ( VCCM Jammu), Dr. Simranjeet Kour, Ms. Shivani Dogra, Mohd. Toyeeb were the members  of medical staff who contributed in making the drive successful.
