DGP congratulated promoted officers, their families, PHQ promotes SI in Ministerial Executive Cadre & 08 Sub-Inspectors of Telecom Cadre

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar: The Jammu & Kashmir Police Headquarters Srinagar has issued promotion orders in respect of one SI(S) of Ministerial Executive Cadre & eight Sub-Inspectors of Telecom Cadre to the next rank vide two different orders of PHQ.

 As recommended by the Departmental Promotion Committee and after thorough scrutiny of the service records, promotion in respect of one SI (S) of Ministerial Executive Cadre & eight Sub-Inspectors of Telecom Cadre to the rank of Inspectors has been ordered vide PHQ Order No. 1621 of 2021 and 1620 of 2021 dated 25.05.2021.

Under these orders, Mohd Saleem Sheikh SI(S) of Ministerial Executive Cadre has been promoted the rank of Inspector, while as the eight Sub-Inspectors  of Telecom Cadre who has been promote to the rank of Inspectors are Charan Dass, Rashpal Singh, Mohammad Yousf, Ab Rashid, Gulam Nabi, Balwant Raj, Ab Rehman & Gul Mohammad.

DGP J&K Sh Dilbag Singh congratulated the promoted officers and their families. He has expressed hope that the promotion will serve as an inspiration for the officers to perform their duties in higher ranks with more dedication and zeal.

 

DGP sanctions rupees 45 lakh special relief for NoKs of deceased/martyred SPOs

 

Srinagar, May 28: In order to provide financial assistance to the families of the SPOs who have passed away due to illness or fighting against terrorism while in service, the Director General of Police Shri Dilbag Singh has sanctioned rupees 45 lakh as special relief in favour of dependents/legal heirs of deceased/martyred SPOs.

The special relief of rupees five lakh each has been sanctioned in favour of dependents/legal heirs of eight deceased SPOs namely Sanjeev Kumar, Beli Ram, Rajinder Singh, Madan Lal, Bhagat Singh, Mansa Ram, Halima Begum & Gh Mohi-ud-din Khan who expired due to health related issues during the course of their engagement with the Police organization, while as rupees five lakh special relief has also been sanctioned in favour of Martyr SPO Nazir Ahmad Khan who attained martyrdom in a terrorist attack on 29.03.2021 at Sopore.

Rupees fifty thousand each was already paid to the deceased families for performing the last rites as immediate relief by the concerned units. The financial assistance has been given out of Contributory Police Welfare Fund of SPOs.

Police Headquarters is running many schemes for the welfare of its personnel and their families. There are also schemes for the wards of Police personnel and SPOs. Besides, there are schemes for the NoKs of martyrs, their wards and also for the retired Police personnel and their spouses.(PTK).
