Cop accuses senior police officers of hand in glove with drug addicts:Police denies

Sarinagar Dec, 06 (PTK) A police man from Srinagar accuses various senior police officers in Central kashmir of hand in glove with drug addicts

Azad Ahmad while talking with media in Srinagar accuses various police officers including one of SHO rank and SDPO rank of taking bribe from drug addicts and peddlers.

He is also claiming that I have proof of every thing what I am saying and said that I respect J&K police, however, there are some people in it who are after only money and they need to be exposed.

How police said that one suspendee *Ct Azad Ahmad Dar* (PID EXK-111504) S/O Late M Shafi Dar R/O Tankipora Shaheedgunj Srinagar, appeared before the press at Press Enclave and levelled serious allegations against a Police officer.

It is to state that the said Ct is a drug addict and figures as main accused as drug peddler in two NDPS FIRs, *FIR no 27/2019* of PS Nishat (challaned on 10.12.2019) and *FIR no 58/2020* of PS Shergarhi (under investigation).

The said Ct is running absent since his suspension *02/10/2020,* so his uniform being torn by a Police Officer doesn’t arise.

The said Ct has earlier been awarded *three major* punishments after the outcome of departmental enquiries ordered in his acts of indiscipline earlier.

Ct Azad has been placed under suspension *Four Times* during his four years tenure in Srinagar District for various violations.

The Ct is a habitual offender and it is highly possible that he was under the influence of drugs even when he was addressing the press in order to gain sympathy from the general public and hide his misdeeds.

There is a proper platform to address such grievances, if any. His going to press is testimony of him being defiant and indisciplined.
