Two civillian injured during initial stage of operation:- Police

Sarinagar Nov, 06 (PTK) A militants has been killed in an encounter between government forces and militants in Meej Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district while as two civillians were injured during initial stage of operation.

According to PTK, A senior police officer said that an unidentified militant has been killed while as operation is on in the area.

Earlier an official said that a joint team of Police, army’s 5O RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

He said that as the joint teams of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.

Two civillians were injured during initial stage of operation, among them one is critical and internet services have been snapped as a precautionary measure, an official said.(PTK)
