LADAKH Oct 26 (PTK) : National BJP president expresses gratitude National BJP President JP Nadda on Monday expressed gratitude to the people of Ladakh for giving them absolute majority.

He termed that BJP’s victory is historic as BJP has won 15 out of 26 seats despite facing many protests.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Ladakh for their faith in BJP.

Local politician believe that the intervention by Home Minister Amit Shah and the Centre aided the BJP to subvert a major embarrassment.

Senior Congress leader from Leh Rigzin Jora said the BJP bringing in multiple central ministers only showed how the party lacked confidence before the polls.

“We should remember that had the BJP not assured that the Sixth Schedule would not be given to Leh, no one would have participated in the polls. The alliance has people from all walks of life, from all political parties and religion. The Minister of State for Home Affairs GK Reddy has assured people here that the Sixth Schedule will be given. Our role in opposition would be to remind the BJP of its promise,” said Jora.(PTK)
