Extortion attempt foiled, accused arrested within 6 hours by police station Arnas*

Srinagar October 01 (PTK) Police station Arnas received an information that about 8 to 9 local goons of Arnas on the midnight of 29/30 sept entered the premises of CapCon construction Company office premises with air pistol and 2 tokas. They put this pistol on the forehead of General Manager Capcon construction company Amarjeet Singh and demanded ₹1.5 lakh from him. Somehow GM succeeded to persuade them that right now I don’t have cash with me and will arrange in the morning. Later he informed police station Arnas about the incident. Acting swiftly and using technical intelligence police party led by SHO Insp Rajesh Gautam arrested 5 accused namely Riyaz Ahmed @Kaka S/O Ab.Rashid R/O Taddu, Aryan Sharma @Kaka S/O Ravinder Kumar R/O Arnas, Sonu S/O Kartar Chand R/O , Kuldeep Kumar S/O Kartar Chand R/O Narloo and Sanjay Kumar S/O lal Singh R/O Narloo while Dinesh Kumar @Dhanu S/O Ashok Kumar R/O Chinkah (main master mind), Vijay S/O Lal Chand, Ajay S/O Subash R/O Hunder and Raju S/O Lal Singh R/O Reasi are absconding. Police also recovered one air pistol and 2 Tokas from their possession. Accordingly police station Arnas registered an FIR no 85/20 U/S 385,458,147,148 IPC, 4/25 Arms Act. And investigation is set into motion. The whole operation was led by SHO police station Arnas Insp Rajesh Gautam under the supervision of SDPO Arnas Dr Satish Bhardwaj JKPS, and overall supervision of Adl SP Reasi Sh. Surjeet Bhagat JKPS and SSP Reasi Smt Rashmi Wazir JKPS.(PTK)
