Stray bullet creates panic in Poonch town*

Jammu September 18 (PTK) A stray bullet, believed to be of a machine gun, that fell on the roof of a house in Poonch town created panic in the area with police later seized the bullet and said to have started investigation into the matter.

Official sources said that in the evening hours, a bullet fell over the roof of a house behind Mohallah radio station and locals and family members got in a state of panic after noticing the bullet.

” Police was informed after which a team from local police station rushed to the spot and seized the bullet.” said officials.

They said that bullet has been taken into possession and investigation into the matter is going on.

” It seem to be a bullet of a Machine Gun and it is being believed that bullet is of stray nature that might have been fired on Line of Control in Poonch sector and it travelled upto Poonch town and fell over the house.” they said.(PTK)
