JKSF greets teachers on Teachers Day; be in all respects with a collective voice to strive for rights: Qayoom Wani
Srinagar September 05 (PTK) Former Chairman of EJAC, Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum and the
sitting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum Abdul Qayoom
Wani has greeted the teaching community on Teachers Day, observed on
Saturday Sep 5.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Wani on behalf of Jammu and
Kashmir Civil Society Forum extended greetings to the teaching
community for its ever untiring efforts in the field of teaching
learning process and the all-round personality development of students
as the upcoming generations, Wani said that Pandemic of COVID-19 was
a testing time for the teaching community and teachers succeeded to
meet the challenges by virtue of online classes despite a very poor
networking system prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir. Wani said it has
been the potential of the teachers earned out of the historical
journey of meeting the challenges of different kinds.
Wani said that COVID -19 has not come to an end yet, as such there are
more possible tough challenges ahead and teachers will have to
continue with the same energetic resolve to meet the challenges, one
to monitor the health status of students amid COVID 19, second his
education and career.
Wani urged upon the organizations fighting for teachers to keep pace
with the changing times and to strategize their struggle accordingly
with courage and valor.
Wani urged upon the govt to give teachers free environment to do
justice with their profession of teaching and learning rather than to
put them on haphazard multiple tasks which affects the education of
children, traditional or online.
Wani said on the occasion of Teachers Day, if a teacher, private or
Govt remains without salary, we as a society have no right to
celebrate the occasion fervently. Adding, that salaries of private
school teachers should be given to them for no sane person can oppose
it
Wani extended his hearty greetings to teachers praying that their
mission of mentoring be in all respects with a collective voice to
strive for rights in association with the society they belong to. Be
a teacher not only for pupil but also for publics and the power
corridors to make them know the power of the “mission of Prophecy”(PTK)
