Casual, daily wagers held meeting at PHE office Srinagar, threatened to start protests from 7th September

Srinagar September 03 (PTK) All Jammu and Kashmir Casual Labours and daily wagers held a meeting at PHE office ex change road Srinagar to frame a future strategy to get their demands fullfill.

They threatened to start protest from district Budgam on 7th of September in support of their demands, including regularization of services and release of pending wages.

According to PTK, Casual labourers, under the banner of Kashmir Joint Employee Association have been holding protests from last two decades to press for their demands

‘Regularize our services’, ‘Release our pending wages have been their prime demands but noting has been done so far and now we have decided to intensify protests if their demands were not fulfilled.

“We were promised that our issued will be addressed and a committee was constituted to look into the matter,” Sajad said, adding that so far no headway has been made by the committee and their issues have not been addressed. “We are finding it difficult to support our families as our salaries are not released. We are unable to pay bills or fee of our children… how are we support to cater to the needs of our families,” they added.

From 7th September we can cross any line to get our rights fullfilled which are pending since last 26 years.PTK)
