Covid SOP’s violations and Over Charging of Passenger Vehicles 35 Vehicles challaned and 03 vehicles Seized in Bandipora

Bandipora, Aug 31 (PTK) : After getting complaints from passengers and officials of not following Covid19 SOP’s, On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora a team headed by ARTO Bandipora, Suhaib Wani on monday conducted extensive checking on different inter-district routes of Bandipora and imposed fine on the traffic violators.

During the drive, more than 200 vehicles were checked by the team and the violators were fined for overloading, driving without seat belts and plying of vehicles in contravention of Registration Certificates and route permits.

Talking to Media Assistant Regional Transport Officer Bandipora Suhaib wani said, 03 passenger vehicles were seized other 35 were challaned for not following SOP’s. Vehicles were also challaned for plying without (HSRP) High Security Registration Plates.

He said, that the drive will continue in coming days and whosoever will be seen voilating covid19 SOP’s and traffic rules he will be dealt strictly.

The checking team comprised of MVD Inspector Ab Hameed and other officials of the department.(PTK)
