with 127 more positive cases, tally crosses 7000 mark
SRINAGAR JUNE(PTK)The number of COVID-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir crossed reached 7000 mark as 127 fresh infections were reported on Sunday.
Officials said that among new 127 new cases that were detected in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, 30 were tested positive at SKIMS, 47 at JVC Bemina, 30 at CD hospital and rest at other hospitals.
Among 127 new cases, 102 belong to Kashmir division while as 25 are from Jammu division, officials said, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached to 5559 including 3235 recoveries and 83 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division has reached to 1534 including 1081 recoveries and 11 deaths.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 07 from Kulgam, 31 from Srinagar, 02 from Shopian, 06 from Baramulla, 02 from Anantnag, 16 from Kupwara, 01 from Bandipora, 22 from Budgam, 11 from Pulwama and 04 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 25 from Jammu division include 08 from Jammu, 10 from Udhampur, 03 from Kuthua, 2 from Doda and one each from Ramban and Poonch,” officials disclosed.
Professor Farooq Jan, Medical superintendent at SKIMS said that out of 2,444 samples tested at SKIMS, 30 were tested positive .
He said that among 30 new cases, 09 are from Pulwama, 08 from Srinagar, 07 from Kulgam, 02 cops from Handwara, two from Anantnag and one each from Baramulla and Bandipora.
Dr Reyaz Untoo Principal at JVC Bemina said that out of 468 samples tested at 47 including 24 from Budgam and 23 from Srinagar which includes traffic police man were tested positive.
He said that 11 more patients including 5 year old baby were discharged from hospital taking toll of total discharged patients to 469 while as 127 more patients are under treatment at the hospital.
He said that 22 major surgeries were conducted and 17 more normal deliveries were managed at the hospital.
Officials from CD hospital said that 30 patients were tested positive at the hospital which 7 Beacon persons from 109 RCC Trehgam Kupwara.
As per officials figures, 874 positive cases including 22 deaths and 262 recoveries are from Srinagar, 806 including 15 deaths and 375 recoveries are from Baramulla, 766 including 501 recoveries and 13 deaths are from Kulgam, 732 including 10 deaths and 532 recoveries are from Shopian, 635 including 06 deaths and 463 recoveries are from Anantnag, 534 including 380 recoveries and 05 deaths are from Kupwara, 440 including 201 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Pulwama, 393 including 209 recoveries and 07 death are from Budgam, 289 including 250 recoveries and 01 death are from Bandipora, 90 including 62 recoveries are from Ganderbal.
In Jammu division, 333 including 267 recoveries and 07 deaths are from Jammu district, 269 including 169 recoveries and 01 death are from Udhampur, 216 including 154 recoveries are from Ramban, 214 including 152 recoveries are from Kathua, 136 including 84 recoveries from Samba, 121 including 99 recoveries and 01 death are from Poonch, 104 including 01 death and 53 recoveries are from Rajouri, 74 including 57 recoveries and 01 death are from Doda, 40 including 26 recoveries are from Reasi and 27 including 20 recoveries are from Kishtwar.
As per the daily information bulletin, 276,057 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 40,065 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 2683 persons are in hospital isolation while 34 persons are under hospital quarantine.
According to the bulletin, 186,308 persons have completed surveillance period and 46,873 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 351,865 samples are available.
Out of 351,865 the number of samples tested negative stands at 344,722 while as 7093 have been tested positive, among them 2683 are active and 4316 persons have recovered and 94 persons have died(PTK))
