Three militants killed in Qazigund encounter

SRINAGAR (PTK) Three more militants have been killed in an encounter that broke out between government forces and militants in Lower Munda area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s kulgam district on Monday morning.

An official said that three militants have been killed in an exchange of fire, whose identification is being ascertained.

Earlier on specific inputs about the presence of militants, a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in the area by joint team of forces including 19 RR, SOG and CRPF

During the searches, the hiding militants fired upon forces, which was retaliated, trigerring an encounter, he said.

Meanwhile as a precautionary measure internet services have been suspended in Kulgam district.(PTK)
