Urges Govt to compensate Fruit Growers, wave off KCC Loans

Srinagar, Mar 13 (PTK: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) General Secretary Hilal Ahmad Shah today reiterated that the developmental process in J&K must be given impetus.

Shah also urged the Lt. Governor Administration to fully compensate the fruit growers, besides waving off KCC Loans availed by Farmers in South Kashmir and elsewhere in J&K.

JKPCC General Secretary Hilal Ahmad Shah has expressed serious concern over the losses caused to fruit growers of Kashmir owing to heavy snowfall, urging the Lt. Governor Administration to initiate the process of compensating Fruit Growers to their satisfaction, besides waving off KCC Loans availed by the Farmers.

Shah also urged the Lt. Governor Administration to give impetus to developmental process, which has been derailed due to the unfavourable situation prevailed in J&K in recent past.

There is also a need to take effective measures to ensure that growers are compensated fully, the compensation recently announced in their favour was not less than a cruel joke, not acceptable to them, as that, they (Growers) have suffered huge losses, which has to be compensated.

“It has always been the Congress party’s endeavor to fight for the genuine demands of the people for their resolution, shall continue to work for the prosperity of the people and inclusive development of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh,” Hilal Ahmad Shah added and reiterated his appeal to Lt. Governor G.C.Murmu to look into developmental and other issues concerning people to ensure their redrerssal, at the earliest. (PTK)
