Traffic violators get notices at residence

The traffic police, Jammu, issued notices to violators of traffic rules at their residential addresses to ensure effective management on the roads of the city.

While 15,000 acres of land have been identified in Kashmir valley, 42,500 acres of land have been identified in Jammu region. | FileThe traffic police put all possible efforts to take action against visible traffic violations, especially against wrongly parked vehicles, by way of towing, use of wheel clumps, issuance of court compound challan as well as pasting of wrong parking sticker challans on the screen of the vehicles.

It was observed that most of the violators became defaulters so the traffic police initiated the process to serve notices at the residential addresses of the violators before submitting the challan in the court.

It was further informed that if the violator does not get the sticker disposed of within the stipulated time, such vehicle will be towed/seized from the respective residence with the help of SHOs of police stations concerned.
