Baba Ramdev backs BJP, says Article 370 must go

SRINAGAR, APR 26 (PTK): Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Friday supported BJP’s election manifesto and said that Article 370 must go. Article 370 gives autonomous status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that the Congress did not field party’s general secretary Priyanka Gandhi against Prime Minister Narendra Modi due to fear of ending her political career at the beginning.

He also praised PM Narendra Modi and said that the Chowkidar wasn’t a thief. “Chowkidaar chor nahi, balki pure hai,” Ramdev said.

Narendra Modi on Friday submitted his application from Varanasi, the constituency he won in the 2014 general election. Varanasi will vote in the seventh phase of the seven-phase 2019 Lok Sabha election. (PTK)
