Yesterday Pakistan has approved the construction of a corridor on the Sharda Peeth of the Holy Shrine of Hindus. The Sharda Peeth Temple is located in Pak administrated Kashmir (PaK). It is about 22 kms from Kupwara of Kashmir.

According to Pak Media Reports, this can be announced soon. Sharda Peeth is a 5000 year old shrine of Hindus. It was built by King Ashoka in 237 BC.

After the separation of India and Pakistan in 1947, Hindu pilgrims started facing problems in the temple’s philosophy. In 2007, Kashmiri Fellowship and Regional Director of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations Professor Ayaz Rasool Najki visited this temple.

Since then, the demand for the permission of the philosophy of Indian devotees began to rise. The Sharada Bachao Committee, which was created to allow the Kashmiri Pandits to visit the temple, wrote a letter to the Prime Minister of Pakistan along with the Government of India for this. It was demanded that devotees be permitted to visit the temple through Muzaffarabad. (PTK)
