Militant dead in encounter with forces
SRINAGAR, (PTK): An unidentified militant has been killed in a short shoot-out with government forces in Kujar area of Kulgam.
As per reports reaching PTK, after getting inputs about presence of some militants in Gandibal, Frisal area of Kulgam, Army jointly with SOG cordoned off the village.
When the government forces reached the suspected spot, they fired some warning shots where from hiding militants opened fire leaving one militant dead.
The exchange of fire continued for a few militants and finally being stopped. No body has been recovered yet.
The searches were on in the area when reports reached media group Press Trust of Kashmir. (PTK)
